A bright, airy, and elegant home

A lot of super luxe and elegant homes are often done in richer, darker tones, and heavier fabrics. I thought this home was interesting in that it still looks very refined and elegant, but is also very airy and bright.The ceiling in this bedroom is AMAZING.  Can't beat the light, either.Another amazing ceiling.  It almost feels like a giant lighthouse!What do you think?  Do you like this elegant

Interiors that embody today's "traditional"

I think the below interiors really capture what I might consider today's "traditional" home. These are all real homes, so they aren't the staged, sometimes unlivable, concepts we see in magazines. Dining room love

I sort of unfairly neglect dining rooms. It's not a conscious decision, but I guess because I've never had an apartment large enough to have it's own dining room, and rarely entertain, that I always sort of just passed them by. In our new apartment we don't have a separate dining room, but there is a "nook" large enough to seat 6, which may encourage us to have more friends over for dinner.
